The Confidence Of Knowing I Know You

Even though you feel too old, too late, too unqualified, do not lose heart. Though outwardly you are wasting away, inwardly you are being renewed day by day. And with this perspective, you will understand troubles which seem so big today, will soon pass away. You will be left with the experience, the eternal perspective, you have just learned and acquired. With this in mind, though painful, do not lose heart in the midst of difficulties. Do not lose heart or give up for you will reap a harvest if you do not give up. (1)

Allow me to remind you of my forgiveness for you. For even though you make mistakes, know you have already been forgiven. Even though you fall seven times, you will rise eight. Though the learning process seems slow, awkward, painful, and even pointless, humble yourself and I will lift you up in due season. (2)

For there is a greater glory being worked within you, to be unearthed, revealed, and demonstrated at a later time. So fix your eyes on what is unseen, rather than what is seen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Fix your eyes on the vision I have given you. Fix your eyes on the call upon your life. Fix your eyes on today, and do not worry about yesterday, for yesterday has already happened and is gone. (3)

Fix your eyes on today, for tomorrow may never come, and tomorrow has enough trouble of its own. Be mindful of today, focus your energy on today, and remember my words, plans, and promises. Remember who I am and all we are doing together, and all that is in store for you. (4)

You will walk with me and we will share all things together in intimate fellowship, whether good or bad, easy or difficult. And in our sharing not only will you come to know me, but you will also know beyond any doubt that I know you, totally and completely. In this knowledge you will rest for you will know I sympathize with you in your struggle, in your weakness, in your confusion, in your limits, and in your impatience. (5)

You will know I have seen all these things and love you still, and I am with you still. Do not discount the revelation and confidence of knowing I know you, for it will make no small impact in your life as you continue to remind yourself who I am, and how much I love you.
