My Joy Will Sustain You

In this time and in this season, there are many that will be prone to confusion. I am doing new things, in new ways, and this hour it will not look like it did in hours past. Though things are new and different for this time and season, do not be discouraged – in fact, be joyful and hopeful as you see these new things begin, and continue, to emerge. (1)

As my bride continues to make herself ready I am releasing joy to you. In times of delay I will release my joy for you to drink. In times of sorrow I will release my joy for you to drink. In times of confusion, worry, and fear, I will release my joy for you to drink. As you step out in faith, not always knowing how everything will turn out, but simply trusting in my leadership, I will give you my joy to drink. (2)

It is my heart’s desire for you to be content and overflowing with joy. It is my heart’s desire for joy to overwhelm you in every area of your life, in all your days. I have designed you for great capacity for joy, and surely I will not frustrate this. I will not deny you. As you abide in me, you will taste and see my goodness and become overwhelmed with my inexpressible joy. (3)

Even though you will taste the bitterness of hardship, struggle, and stress we will experience this and taste it together. Even in these days you will experience my joy. Surely you will have trouble in this world, but take heart for I have overcome the world. In the midst of all hardship I will make my joy available to you. I will give you my joy to drink. (4)

Drink now. Drink of me, for my joy will sustain you, and I will give you all you desire to drink.
