Even in the midst of your darkest hour, when there seems to be no light at the end of your tunnel, know I am with you, and know I love you. In this world you will surely have trouble, but take heart for I have overcome the world. And with this you will know that even in the dark days, in the mistakes and folly of your youth, in the deception of selfish and immature desires, I am always with you, and I always love you (1).
My love never wavers, though you feel it does at times. My generosity for you never wavers, though it does not always seem I am generous from your perspective. My forgiveness and my mercy never waver, though at times it seems they are a mere concept having no real, tangible value. Even though these things are true, know I am with you no matter what, and know I am loving you even when you do not feel me, nor perceive me (2).
This is the very reason I repeat it to you often, because you are so quick to forget. This is the very reason I have written it in my word, because you are so quick to forget. This is the very reason I am demonstrated my great love to you, so that in your darkest hours, when your feelings and circumstances suggest otherwise, you will remember me and know how much I love you, and that I want the very best for you (3).
When your enemies advance against you and it seems you have no friends, family, or support remember my great love for you. When you have no money, and no resource of any kind, remember my great love for you. When your health and your relationships seems to fail, remember my great love for you. For none of these things determine your worth to me, nor diminish my great love for you. I have demonstrated my great love for you in glorious fashion already, so remember my words and remember my deeds, for my love for you is great – even beyond measure (4).
