Open Arms And An Open Heart

I have said it to you many times before, but let me say it again, as you are tired, weary, confused, or afraid come to me. Come to me and you will find I will not turn you away. I will not be harsh or angry with you. I will not reject you in any way, or express any kind of displeasure with you, but in fact will celebrate you.

Have you forgotten the story of the Faithful Father (1)?

In the same way I will receive you, celebrate you, and do so when you need me most. When you are perplexed, when you are encountering very real and difficult resistance, when you have problems and need meaningful answers, come to me. I will give you what you need. I will supply you with what you lack, whether it be rest, hope, perspective, strength, or answers – whatever you need you will find in me (2).

Apart from me you can do nothing. You cannot advance yourself, for your strength is too weak. You cannot acquire revelation, for you do not possess it to begin with. You cannot enhance your righteousness, for your works are as filthy rags. You can do nothing without me, but are like a branch that has withered and died. These branches are picked up, thrown into the fire, and burned.

But if you remain with me, and my words, my spirit, my vision, and my will remain in you, you will bear so much fruit in all things. Your fruitfulness is my glory, showing yourselves to be my friends, my followers, and my children. For with man many things are impossible, but with me nothing is impossible (3).

Come to me when you need me most. Do not be ashamed or embarrassed. Do not hide yourself from me, for I know all things already. Do not hesitate to rely on me, for you will find I am with you already, and will demonstrate my faithfulness to you again and again, just as I always have. Come to me when you are need, for I will welcome you with open arms and an open heart (4).
