Rest In The Assurance Of Who I AM

In the darkest, most confusing times of your life I am with you. Though you do not understand what is happening to you, though you do not know which direction to turn or how to respond, though all the pressures seem to weigh you down to the point you feel you cannot breathe, I am with you still. I am with you in all things, both good and bad. I will never leave you, never forsake you, never give up on you, never forget about you.

And though you know this in your mind, at times you forget in your heart. You forget because it is easy to doubt, because you do not know me. But as you continue to know me and experience me more and more, over the course of time and experience, you will not doubt. You will not waver. You will not remain double-minded. You will not hesitate, or stumble, but will remain committed, focused and resolute.

So know there are many aspects to the investment of our relationship together, many of them you will not fully perceive initially, but over the course of time they will become more and more evident, more and more significant as you remain faithful, even in the little things like sitting with me continually. Remember I have already joined us together, so you have no obstacle separating us. Remember I have made a way for you, and have provided reconciliation to you, so there is no obstruction separating us. Remember these things, as you feel alone and isolated, for nothing about this is true or real.

Rest in the assurance of who I am. Rest in the assurance of my plans for you. Rest in the assurance of my word, and what I have said to you already. Rest in the assurance of what is still unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. And in all these pressures and collisions of the day, do not let your heart grow weary, but take heart for I have already overcome the world.

In your times of darkness, in your times of despair, in your times of confusion and anxiety, lean on me, and walk with me. You will find I am not far at all, but already there by your side, ready, willing, and able to comfort you and offer my loving assurance to you in your time of need.
