You will find as you continue to listen to me, and cultivate a habit of doing so, your confusion will subside, and your doubt will decrease. Your confidence will increase and grow as you continue to make it a lifestyle, not just a fleeting practice. I’m saying this to you now, because I know you want to hear from me, but also because you want to know it is from me, not the voice of another. So allow me to confirm this in your heart so you will be at ease and at peace, not worrying, fearful, or doubtful. (1)
Though this is a simple practice and a simple concept I know you easily become scared and confused. So walk with me and enjoy our time together. Come to know me and recreate with me, for in doing so you will build history and familiarity with me, just like any other relationship is built. And in this know you will receive my sentiments, and will do so clearly, and with confidence. You will receive what I am saying and what I am sharing with you, and will know it is my voice that you are hearing, and not the voice of another and you will no longer remained confused or scared.
I know your fears. I know your concerns. I know you oftentimes want to do the right thing, but the right thing seems difficult or confusing. I know you want to do the right thing, but you’re not always certain it was my voice that spoke to you. Do not fear your own desires. Do not fear the voice of another. Do not fear your own limitations, for these things, though real, are small. They are small and inadequate in comparison to who I am, and all I am sharing with you. These things are only big when you focus your attention to them. (2)
Instead, focus your attention to me, and do not listen to the voice of critics and naysayers, even your own voice of criticism. Listen to me regularly and frequently. Engage with me, and learn and discern my voice. Read my word, speak your heart, listen to my spirit, and engage with me in all things. As you do, you will grow in experience, and you will acquire the confidence and security you need and desire. Do not doubt, but rest assured as you seek you will find, and as you knock the door will be opened, as you ask you will receive. (3)
